 Joseph Barbera (film) - The Jetsons, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and dozens of other

 characters created by the imaginative minds of cartoonists Joseph Barbera (an Italian-American) and William Hanna

 (Scottish-American). Barbera had been working as an accountant for a New York bank when Collier's magazine bought

 a cartoon he had created. Inspired by that small success, he embarked on a career as a cartoonist. After joining MGM,

 he met Hanna and the two collaborated on dozens of animated shorts and even a number of full-length films. Together Hanna

 and Barbera received seven Oscars in the 10-year  period that ended in 1953. The names Hanna and Barbera were joined for

 good when the pair formed Hanna-Barbera Productions  in 1957. They have produced volumes of work still seen on Saturday

 mornings everywhere.
